Due to the type of work we undertake we have a solid Health & Safety policy. For every project we undertake preparation of Risk Assessments and Method Statements are prepared prior to commencement of works.
Lead work
Lead work can be used in a number of different ways, not only to protect a structure from the elements, but also to add character and beauty to a building. Some of the ways that lead can be used are described below:
Chimney Flashings
Lead flashings are used to stop water getting in at the junction between the chimney and the roof. Lead flashings are also used at abutments where roofs meet external walls.
Roofing
Lead is extremely effective for roofing and can be used on flat, pitched and curved roofs. Lead can also be utilised as a vertical cladding and on dormer window cheeks.
Decoration
As well as being a practical building material, lead can also be used as a decorative feature. Just adding some simple scallops can make lead work more appealing to the eye and give a timeless or contemporary appeal to your building.
